Precut fabric sizes
Precuts are fabric sold already cut, usually one piece of every print in a fabric line. A jelly roll and a layer cake hold about the same amount of fabric, close to 2¾ yards, cut two different ways.

Counts are the usual ones: 40 strips to a jelly roll, 42 squares to a layer cake or charm pack. Some makers pack 20 or 24, so check the label.
