Drunkard's Path quilt block
Four units, each a quarter circle and the piece around it. Turned and colored as drawn, the curves link from block to block.
The Drunkard's Path is pieced on a 2 × 2 grid, so a 12" block has 6" grid squares.

How to sew a 12" Drunkard's Path block

Make 4 drunkard's path units, 6" finished. Cut the quarter circle from template A and the piece around it from template B. Fold both in half to mark the middle of each curve, pin the middles and the ends, and sew with the B piece on top, easing it around the curve. Press toward the quarter circle.
Lay out the units as drawn and sew them into 2 rows. Press the seams of each row the opposite way from the one before so they nest, then sew the rows together. The block measures 12" finished, 12½" with seam allowance.
