How to sew a 12" Grandmother's Fan block

  1. Cut six blades from template A and sew them together along their long edges. Turn under the curved outer edge.

  2. Lay the fan in one corner of the 12½" background square, straight edges matching, and appliqué the curve. Turn under the quarter circle (template B) and appliqué it over the inner end of the blades.
